Plot[]
The series centered on two princes: Prince Erik Greystone (who is good and engaged to Princess Ariel Baaldorf) and Prince Dirk Blackpool (who is evil) who live in two neighboring kingdoms where they use wizards and witches (both good & evil) in their conflicts with each other.

Broadcast History[]
"Wizards and Warriors"debuted as a midseason replacement for the cancelled series "Bring 'Em Back Alive", airing on Saturdays at 8:00pm Eastern /7:00pm Central.
However, due to low ratings, the series was not renewed for a second season and was cancelled after 8 episodes.

Syndicated columnist Judy Flander praised the series as "witty", including the directing, the writing and the acting.
Accolades[]
The costume designer Theadora Van Runkle won the Primetime Emmy Award for "Outstanding Costumes for a Series".
The series' hairstylist Sharleen Rassi lost a Primetime Emmy Awards for "Outstanding Achievement in Hairstyling" to Edie Panda for the made-for television film, "Rosie: The Rosemary Clooney Story."
