Shark was a CBS network legal drama series, created by Ian Biederman, starring James Woods in the lead role.

The show aired from September 21, 2006 to May 20, 2008, lasting for two seasons & 38 episodes.

It was produced by Imagine Television, Deforestation Services and 20th Century Fox Television.

Plot[]

The series centered on hot-shot lawyer Sebastian Stark, who leaves his lucrative career to become a public prosecutor for the Los Angeles District Attorney's office.

Broadcast history[]

"Shark" first aired in the 10:00 p.m., Eastern Thursday night slot.

On October 20, 2006, it was announced that CBS had picked up the show for a full 22-episode season.

On May 16, 2007, CBS announced that "Shark" would return for a second season. During the show's second season, it was moved to Sunday nights at 10:00 p.m. (switching time slots with "Without a Trace" and competing against "Brothers & Sisters" on ABC).

The show returned on Tuesday April 29, 2008 in a new time slot at 9:00 p.m. to air the four remaining post-strike episodes.

On May 13, 2008, CBS officially cancelled "Shark."
