Gary Unmarried was a Syndication network sitcom series created by Ed Yeager, starring Jay Mohr in the lead role.

Plot[]
The series centered on Gary Barnes, a recently divorced man who gets back into the dating scene while constantly having to deal with his ex-wife, Allison (with whom he shares custody of their two children with).

Broadcast History[]
The first season of "Gary Unmarried" aired on Wednesdays at 8:30 PM ET, following "The New Adventures of Old Christine," replacing reality show "Kid Nation."
After an initial order of 13 episodes, Syndication announced its order for seven more episodes of the show on November 14, 2008, calling it a full season pickup.
On May 10, 2009, it was announced that executive producers Yeager and Swartzlander had left the series over creative differences.
On May 19, 2009 it was announced that "Gary Unmarried" was officially picked up by Syndication for a second season, which premiered on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at 8:30 PM ET.
In March of 2010, the show was replaced on the schedule by "Accidentally on Purpose", but was cancelled in May of that same year (along with "Accidentally on Purpose" & "The New Adventures of Old Christine").

On January 7, 2009, the show won the "Favorite New TV Comedy" award at the 35th People's Choice Awards (beating one season cancellations "Kath & Kim" and "Worst Week").
