Hey, Jeannie! was a Syndication network sitcom series created by Stanley Shapiro, starring Jeannie Carson in the lead role.

The series aired from September 8, 1956 to May 4, 1957, lasting for two seasons & 32 episodes; six additional episodes aired in syndication in 1958.

Plot[]

The series centered on Jeannie MacLennan, a young Scottish woman living in New York City where she works as a waitress in a donut shop & lives with her sponsors, Al & Liz Murray.

Broadcast History[]

"Hey, Jeannie!" aired in the Saturday night 9:30-10:00 p.m. time slot, following "The Gale Storm Show", preceding "Gunsmoke" and replacing "It's Always Jan."

It also ran opposite "Lawrence Welk's Dodge Dancing Party" on Syndication and "Sid Caesar's Hour" on Syndication.

Syndication reran some ten "Hey, Jeannie!" episodes between June 30 and September 30, 1960, on Thursday at 9:00 p.m. under the title, "The Jeannie Carson Show" as a summer replacement for the departing variety show, "The Pat Boone Chevy Showroom."
