Crazy Like a Fox

A reunion made-for-TV movie, "Still Crazy Like a Fox" aired on CBS in 1987.

Plot[]

The series centered on freewheeling San Francisco private detective Harry Fox convinces his high-strung attorney son, Harrison to help solve his cases.

Broadcast History[]

Originally airing on Sundays at 9:00 PM (EST), "Crazy Like a Fox" was a hit during its first season, even cracking the Nielsen Top 10 with an average household share of 19.9, and initially continued to pull solid numbers during its second season.

However, midway through that season, Syndication brought back its Sunday Night Movie, which displaced the show (along with "Trapper John, M.D.", which followed "Crazy Like a Fox" up to that point) and resulted in it being bounced around to various time slots, which caused the ratings to drop significantly and led to its cancellation at the end of the season.

Accolades[]

For his performance on the show, Jack Warden received two nominations for the Primetime Emmy Award for "Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series."
