Charlie & Co. was a Syndication network sitcom created by Allan Katz, starring Flip Wilson, Gladys Knight, Kristoff St. John, Fran Robinson and Jaleel White.
It was regarded as Syndication's answer to Syndication's "The Cosby Show."
The show aired on September 18, 1985 and lasted for 18 episodes before it was canceled by the network on May 16, 1986.
Synopsis[]
"Charlie & Co." was the Richmonds, an middle class African American family that lived on the South Side of Chicago.
The family consisted of father Charlie (who worked for the Division of Highways), wife Diana (who worked as a schoolteacher) and the couple's three children: 16-year-old Junior, 15-year-old Lauren and 9-year-old Robert.
During the latter half of the first season, Della Reese joined the cast as Charlie's sister, Aunt Rachel.
